Purpose for every Mile I hike the GRAND CANYON

Hi Everyone, Ok, not everyone wants to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon but who doesn’t want to help find Forever Homes for rescued pets? I am combining two of my passions-hiking and pets- to raise funds for HUMANE SOCIETY SILICON VALLEY (HSSV) and RABBIT HAVEN.

I do the hard work of hiking the Grand Canyon but you can be part of my team by cheering me on and making every mile count by making a small contribution.

HOW TO MAKE EVERY MILE COUNT: There are two ways to do this:

1. Pledge to donate a certain amount of money for every mile I walk:
   
   For example, the hike is 20 miles so if you pledge $1/mile, you would donated a total of $20 towards HSSV or RABBIT HAVEN.
   
   
2. You can also donate a flat rate that is as much or as little as you like. This will not be affected by how long I walk. I WILL COMPLETE THE HIKE.

100% of the funds raised from my hike shall go to HSSV and RABBIT Haven.

THE HIKE: It is approx. a 20-mile hike from the South Rim via bright Angel Falls down to the Phantom Ranch and back up the next day. More details can be found at: http://www.grand.canyon.national-park.com/hike.htm I was born hiking and have the skills and training to accomplish this beautiful and challenging hike. Fundraising for rescued animals makes it even more rewarding for me and such an easy way to make a difference in the lives of the forgotten pets. So please give what you can and be their hero.
