On May 6th, The Rabbit Haven and it's intrepid volunteers participated the 7th annual BunnyFest. BunnyFest is a yearly get together
for Bay Area bunny owners and vendors of bunny oriented merchandise. The BunnyFest is sponsored by Anita and her family from
For Other Living Things in Sunnyvale. Each year BunnyFest raises money for a rabbit rescue,
and the beneficiaries this year are the wonderful folks at SaveABunny in Marin County.

The event was held in a beautiful park in San Jose. Bunnies and their humans came out in force to check out all the latest in bunny wares, attire,
and to frolic and play with other pet rabbits. A big raffle was held to benefit SaveABunny, and everyone enjoyed the scenery and the event. Speakers
included Marcy Schaff of Saveabunny and Dr. Anderson of the Calaveras Vet Clinic, who is a big supporter of The Haven.
The Rabbit Haven booth was stocked with information about bunny care, Rabbit Haven merchandise and bunny treats, and ambassador bunnies
brought by Amy and Kathleen. A TV monitor and DVD player were showing videos of adoptable Haven bunnies, attracting onlookers to the merchandise.
Sioux even put together a special Gardening for Bunnies display, with information about gardening for your rabbit and organic herb and vegetable plants
for sale.
The Haven made over $700 in product sales, which will help us with spay/neuter and vet care expenses. Much of the product was provided by
The Bunny Hay Loft, Bunny Bytes, Sioux, Karen and Carolyn J. Mosher.

The coordinator for the BunnyFest was Karen T, who planned the booth and arranged everything. She was assisted by Haven volunteers
Darrell T, Sioux, Melanie and Stefan, Amy and Kathleen, Connie, Karyn and the other scores of Haven volunteers who came together to help at our
information booth! Our CPA Steve also handled the printing of all of our educational materials. Great job everyone!
The event was a big success thanks to all of your hard work!
