Hello,

Thank you for helping my buddy Zeke! Here we are together a week after his surgery. I had to visit to make sure he is ok – He was so busy kissing his foster persons hand he hardly noticed me. But that's ok. He is a sweet boy! I though you'd want to see how well he is doing. He feels better already and his fur is growing over the removed eye. He does not hurt anymore and he is happy! So am I. Zeke is getting accustomed to not having that eye and he appears to be adjusting very well. He gets lots of love. That is what he needs most now. In just another week Zeke will go in to have the stitches removed, and then he can work on getting back to his old self. Thank you so very much for helping by sending in donations for his surgery!

May 17, 2011 Hello again everyone. I want to thank all of my friends who have been sending healing thoughts and donations to The Haven for Zeke. He is doing much much better now that he has had his surgery, and kind people donated enough money to match my $250 challenge! He had to spend a night in the hospital, so Auntie Heather thinks his vet bills will be a little higher than we first thought. We'll know soon how much it will all cost. Auntie Heather says people can still donate to Zeke's fund, and he will probably need more money to pay all of his bills. The Haven will provide whatever he needs to make sure that he is totally healed and ready to find a home of his own like they did for me. I know he will be running around and binkying in no time. Hello everyone, my name is Deanna. A few years ago, some people didn't want me anymore so they let me loose in a park. I was just a baby at the time, and I was attacked by a predator and my eye was injured. I was picked up and brought to a shelter, and finally wound up at The Rabbit Haven. Though Heather and my vets tried their best, they couldn't save my eye, and I had to have a surgical procedure to remove the eye. I am all better now, I run and play with my friends DJ and Curly Sue, and with my forever family.

Now there is a bunny in The Haven named Zeke, and he will have to have an eye removed because of a bad infection. Auntie Heather thinks the surgery will cost over $1000. I understand what it's like to need eye surgery. I had the same surgery he needs to have! So I want to help him. It hurts to have an injured eye so we want to make sure he gets his surgery ASAP! I know he will feel so much better when it is over with. Let's help him - Here's my idea. I offer to match donations up to $250.00. Will you join me and help out little Zeke? It is going to be expensive, but he is so worth it!!
