Several bunnies still in need of rescue at the Moreland site

The Rabbit Haven continues our work to rescue the Moreland rabbits who are living on the grounds of a school in San Jose. We are working with an alliance of rescue groups, MRCAR and PAWS, to help rescue rabbits from the Moreland park area where they are suffering, ill treated, abused and often killed.

Reports of many dead and maimed rabbits have been received and other many other crimes against the rabbits have been noted. So we have stepped up our efforts to get them out. We started with 100+ rabbits and now have 49 in protected rescue. We have spayed and neutered almost all of the adults, yet we still have many adolescents and babies coming in with a need for sweet TLC homes. We need foster sites - 20 rescued rabbits need you now!

If you are unable to foster, you can sponsor a baby rabbit or any rabbit at Moreland. A donation of $50 will provide KMR, food and support for one rabbit for one month. If you sponsor a rabbit we will send you the bunny’s picture via email and let you know how they are doing. We will also alert you when they are adopted. If you prefer, you may purchase supplies directly or send in cash donations and we can purchase supplies at low cost.

You may also sponsor spay and neuter and other Veterinary care for the adults. Even $100.00 will cover this surgery plus post operative care, vet exams, medications and foster support for one month at our sites. Will you please help the Moreland rabbits? They have been so traumatized - I think these abandoned, abused rabbits deserve to have a peaceful life in their own home or even a foster home for about 3 months TLC care. Please help us to help these sweet rabbits. Our babies which number over 25 need foster support too they drink KMR in a dish, lots of alfalfa hay and pellets. Foster support is needed from Monterey to San Francisco, San Jose, the surrounding community, and Santa Cruz County. Will you help us to help the Moreland rabbits? So many babies and adolescents. Together we can create triumph from tragedy for the rabbits of Moreland Park area and community there.
