These six oh-too-cute 2 inch long babies were found May 21 on a street in San José. A family noticed that them when one
tiny one drowned in their swimming pool. They were frantic! We sent a rescue team out at 10:30 PM to collect the babies and search for mom and
any other babies. We found and rescued six babies that first night, then found two more the next day. After much searching, we found the mom!
A neighbor had apparently left them when they moved. Leaving five adult rabbits and this group created several litters. Most perished.
Did you know that rabbits can produce up to 12 kits every 28 days? The neighbors call them free spirits. The predators call them lunch!

The first litter of three has been placed. The male, Ariel, a sweet loving brown and white dwarf mix, is with The Haven.
The mother Leanna is still nursing her litter! One tiny baby is still missing. Leanna is now trying to feed them all, and we are also helping
to feed them. In a few weeks these babies will be ready for loving homes, watch for up to date pictures. The family will need foster
care effective May 32. Can you help?
