At The Rabbit Haven, we believe every rabbit deserves a safe, loving home and proper care. While this day is a time to celebrate these gentle animals, it’s also an important moment to raise awareness about the challenges they face and protect them from neglect, exploitation, and improper care.
How You Can Make an Impact Today One of the most effective ways to celebrate is by supporting rabbit rescues, community education, and safety-net services. Since 1985, education has been at the core of everything we do. Today, our dedicated volunteers log over 15,000 hours each year to keep rabbits safe, healthy, and loved across Northern California—from the Bay Area to Monterey.
Here’s a look at how your support helps us make a difference 365 days a year:
- Rescues & Networking: Saving vulnerable rabbits and other small animals from local shelters and community emergency situations.
- Adoption: Hosting adoption days twice a month placing rabbit in permanent homes.
- Education: Offering a responsive Help Desk for rabbit caregivers.
- Essential Grooming Clinics: Providing necessary basic care, including nail trims and grooming.
- Medical & Foster Care: Delivering critical medical services and placing rabbits in safe, loving foster homes.
